Random timing, or fate?

I told you I wouldn't post very often but today I experienced another weird Eureka Moment. I am editing Dead on Her Feet, wondering how my Argentine psychoanalyst - who is also a former guerilla fighter - would react if my heroine, Antonia, asked him to talk to her young nephew about curbing his violent behavior. Just then the phone rings, and my artist friend from Argentina is on the line, just to say hi. We talk. He wants to know how the book is coming along, and offers to help in any way he can. Neither of us can imagine how he can help. Then I realize, I have this question about the Argentine psychologist ... and it turns out my artist friend had family who were Montoneros ...

  1. It's so cool when the stars aline, and even better to get get encouragement, no matter how random, that you're moving in the right direction. Good luck with Antonia and the book.

  2. Oops. That's align, of course, unless you're doing inline skating.

  3. The last time I had an Eureka moment I did what the experts say to do...write it down. The "aha" woke me up and I now have the start to a really great essay. You need to honor these moments.
